Mr. Lozano Merino is the General Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia In Peru since 2005. Since October, 2014 the status was changed from the Honorary Consul to the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Latvia in Peru.
Mr. Lozano Merino is a founder of the Baltic – Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and represents it in the capacity of the vice-president. He is also an official representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Latvia in Peru.
Mr. Lozano Merino is a practicing lawyer in Peru. He is an owner and a partner of Peru based law firm Lozano Abogados with connections to the most important law offices in South America and Spain. He is also one of the partners in the law firm PLFA & CIA Assesores y Consultores. He specializes in mercantile law, competence law, banking law, contractual law, international private law, corporate law and aeronautic law.
Mr. Lozano obtained his law degree and Master’s degree from the Pontifical Catholic University, Peru. Post graduate studies and doctorate studies in University of Salamanca, Spain.
Mr. Lozano has been a professor of the Magistrates Academy of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Peru and a professor of Faculty of Law of the University of Lima and Private University of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
From 2002 – 2003 Mr. Lozano Merino was elected the president of the Inter American Bar Association – IABA (2002-2003) Washington DC, USA. Since 2006 Mr. Lozano Merino is the president of the Inter American Academy of International and Comparative Law, Washington DC, USA. Mr. Lozano Merino is a regional representative for America III of the International Union of Lawyers, Paris France since 2007. Mr. Lozano Merino is a senator representing in Peru the Iberian American Union of the Associations and Bars of Lawyers (UIBA, Madrid, Spain).
Mr. Lozano Merino is an arbiter of different national and international organizations such as an Arbitrage Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, the Center of Arbitrage of the American Chamber of Commerce in Peru – AMCHAM, and international section of the American Arbitrage Association.
